Computer Freezes Well Typing And Certain Websites Don't Work

I haven't had any more freezing since. Eric Root, for example, says he's not met the problem. I updated the AHCI driver and the system seems stable for now. I'm running Win7 build 7100 on my laptop. http://fixmyacer.com/computer-freezes/computer-just-freezes.html

took me a bit to figure out for chrome but I finally did and all fixed! Here is what I would do first: (if firefox does not work) - Disabling all add-ons could tell us what the culprit is. I tried myspace, you tube, stickam, addicting games, everyplace I know froze the internet was not frozen. Click “Clear Browsing Data”.

I say this because I have configured my browser (IE) to distrust all web sites and allow none other than those in my Trusted Sites list to install software Add-ons. So, complain! In the meantime improve diagnostics, they are fairly good just not good enough to assist with the huge number of problems both within windows 7 and revealed as possibly 3rd parties

b. I have not noticed any patterns to the websites that cause the problem. I have had this problem myself for months and while I have learned to live with it, Microsoft should acknowledge this is an issue and fix it. The symptoms were: 10 to 30 second freezes with constant hard-drive activity (ie, the hard-drive light was on).  Recovered after that.

Hard drive light stays on, mouse keeps working, CPU activity zero. To Delete the cache, select “Temporary Internet files”. The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit it may have. Incidentally, this issue seems to be affecting all other browsers (despite some claims to the contrary), as well as being common to Yosemite, Mavericks and El Capitan. I thought of replacing my fast computer.Without going into details, I found the answer ...... The scale shows that the hard disk has gone to 100% activity, but the resources using it don't attribute to that. I still get occasional freezes out of IE8.

If your computer freezes up randomly, it is also useful to check your registry for any faults. 4. cya l8ter win7. was going to say that it was working just fine, because it did for longer than usual, but just as i clicked on to another site on that computer, the whole Safari "hang" is now more frequent and freezes after an hour of use.

But too, even if you uncheck some of those options the offending program may just thwart your efforts by rechecking it or recreating the offense---it is better to find the bugger There are no entries in the log beyond "system recovered from unexpeceted shut down".
