Evan Wondrasek Hello, I just read that Microsoft has released a second version of the update (but apparently didn't change the KB number, which I think would scare off many users). everything disappears and the only way i can treat it is to press and hold the power button until it powers down. hmmmm, I thought maybe something was still being updated, so left it for a while, then an hour, then 2 hours, then overnight. Try the downloaded update and see if it speeds up the installation of Updates. weblink
