Click here it's easy and free. Can't argue if it was for free ;) But I checked all connections inside, everything looks firm. What happens is when you power it up, the top fan seems to be extremely loud, and the motherboard light sits at a steady orange the whole time.
Now the CPU fan is running continuously. that looks to me like you've incorrectly overclocked it or something isn't set correctly in the bios so it won't boot up.that's when the bios does the restart thing so it If it does then you need to buy a new power supply. See if it runs correctly with the power supply from the other computer. What will be the problem ? Some dell windows cd's work with other brands of motherboards. http://fixmyacer.com/dell-vostro/dell-vostro-230-ram-problem.html And DO NOT use an external switch.
