Dell XPS 13 9350 - Will It Ever Be Able To Use A EGPU Using Thunderbolt 3?

Any comments? Instead of the 4x 3.0, 40 GB/s bandwidth that is advertised. It was replaced by the XPS 410, which is nearly identical with the exception of an optional Intel Core 2 Duo processor and slightly different audio and video card options XPS Problems[edit] Dell became aware that the problem was limited to Nvidia chip production G84- and G86-GPU's, the BIOS was updated to A12 which improves thermal control but does not prevent it check over here

Do note that I observed a significant performance decrease using optimus. Thanks for hearing me out.Click to expand... I have asked around on Reddit and checked Amazon I haven't found any other kinds of enclosures. If you know of any that are compatible with the GTX 1080 could you suggest Even Razer’s CEO mentioned that it would not be plug and play for non-Razer laptops. http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3519/t/19997395

Do you have any insight as to what cable could possibly work for hooking the QNIX to the Blade or anything else that might be wrong? I reached out to Razer and other eGPU makers for a demo unit to test and find a solution for macOS. He suggested that I keep the machine or try to sell it and get something I like. I just ordered the new Macbook Pro (even though I was very disappointed in its choice of GPU). CES 2017 brought an onslaught of external graphics card solutions. It's listed as "sense", but I kept it incase I ever needed it for some reason. As far as using the Core with a laptop with the 1060? - stay tuned for that. But if this section stays as it is, assume no news is good news.Update 6/21: {After a couple more weeks of on and off use, I’ve come to a happy medium Otherwise the iGPU tries to drive the laptop display.I'm not sure why it wouldn't be booting with it. Or is it still hardwired as port13, port15 (like it was in all previous chipsets up to 4th gen i-core) so that setting x4 port13 would exclude port15 from being active?

There can be no denying now there is a BIOS/hardware misconfiguration resulting in only 16Gbps (x2 3.0) PCIe bandwidth instead of 32Gbps (x4 3.0) that Thunderbolt3 is specced at.    Is Comparing to my mid-2014 MBP 15" w/ dGPU, the 2016 is superior in the fact that it never fails to POST. theitsage Post authorFebruary 5, 2017Reply The AKiTiO with latest firmware will work with the Razer Blade Stealth. check my blog And closing the lid obviously puts the laptop to sleep. But keep in mind that the Core does not charge the Razer Blade, only the Razer Blade Stealth. Also what sorta games have you tried?

I also tested with the XPS 15 which has an Nvidia GTX 960m paired with the i5-6300HQ.Some time after I initially wrote this article, I was able to repeat the Razer There have been several cases involving M1330 laptops to be cosmetically defective in manufacture, such as loose hinge covers and unusually and uneven gaps between plastic parts, as well as customer I'm sick of designs full of compromises. http://fixmyacer.com/dell-xps/dell-s-out-of-date-thunderbolt-3-firmware-on-xps-15-9550-and-xps-13-9350.html A least a Dell Precision M7510 isn't affected.

As the mainboard used the Intel 945 chipset, the XPS M1710 could not address more than 3.25GByte of RAM though Dell specified "up to 4GB RAM". Also like its predecessor, it featured a 17-inch widescreen. Even the 970 shows some significant signs of improvement over the 970m, if you don’t want to spend that kind ofmoney.I’ve been doing a lot of research since originally writing this

XPS Gen 5[edit] Used a Pentium 4 HT processor with 512 KB, 1 MB, or 2 MB of L2 Cache.

nando4 February 8, 2017Reply There are existing Spectre X360 TB3 eGPU implementations using other enclosures: https://egpu.io/external-gpu-implementations-table/?table_filter=%22spectre%22 so the notebook is OK. You'll have to power cycle it for a few seconds. Now that I think about it, that's another reason to go for the XPS 15 if you need to handle more demanding applications or want something with the horsepower to last And this is with my Razer Blade lid shut.

Page 1 of 2 1 2 Next > bluecatoutside New Member I've seen reports that the Razer Core works with XPS 15 but not with the XPS 13. XPS 13 (9365, Early 2017)[edit] The 9365 is similar to the 9360 but with a flexible hinge allowing it to fold over into tablet mode. There’s also what appears to be the PSU vent. http://fixmyacer.com/dell-xps/dell-xps-13-9350-connecting-external-monitor-via-thunderbolt-port.html Don't forget you also have the option for more RAM and a larger battery.
