It worked for a day until the power went out. Had this SAME problem with my HP Media computer. Then I disconnected all the external connections to my computer (speaker wire, usb mouse/keyboard, monitor, etc.) and plugged the Dell back in. I blew them out. Then the guy at Best Buy said my motherboard was shot, because 3 of the capacitors were totally fried (wasn't noticable to me). After I did the re-install, the wireless orange light stays on and will not turn to white/blue. I have tried to download and install drivers from the hp website. Disconnected all USB devices and the computer booted normally. Per some of the commenters here, I was checking my USB ports on the front and back to see if any pins were bent.
