I have not been able to try this myself yet.Also depending on your what OS you are using you could try and and get a hold of either the Vista or If you have multiple rails make sure one has the 38A and that one's plugged into the video card.

The case switch can be jumped to trigger the system to boot. If you suspect that Windows XP won't boot because Boot.ini has been corrupted, you can use the special Recovery Console version of the Bootcfg tool to fix it. I have attempted several clean installs of Windows, just to see if there was an error during installation but no luck there either. After reading this and thinking it might hard drive related, I went into the BIOS and checked the drive interface. As aprecautionI ran anin-depthstress test to make sure nothing was indeed failing and I was lucky.
I could not power up /turn on my Acer aspire v3 . The computer may lag a bit but should eventually boot into safe mode. Have you tried the "FixMyPen" utility? Meanwhile, cheers brother!
