The power light behaves in the exact same way whether it is powered down, sleeping, battery in or battery out. Discovered the problem is not with the battery or charger. check my blog I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something before I ordered a battery (which I have no problem doing.) I do not recall exactly what they were, but it was a combination of Fn/Alt and an F key. It is supposed to have charge/discharge cycle. I slowly moved the monitor up/down while holding in the power button and noticed the keyboard flash on very briefly. If you look on the internet you will find dozen of suppliers, don't chose a cheap one, use one of Dell or a trustable company. If you remove the battery, and the AC adapter, then hold down the power button for 4 minutes it resets the computer. Removed unnecessary quote. Please don't hide new requests here.There are about 3 parts to the charging system.
