I wonder why that's so incredibly obtuse? As someone else said: let's just hope they don't change the behaviour of that checkbox to only apply the profiles created by windows' tool and your eyes in some future service Also, there seems to be less color loss in the Word documents and PDFs I included this image in: LINK.I checked this with several more images, and the results are the Windows 10 Icc Profiles A little counter-intuitive I suppose, but thanks a million for that link.
I hear, though, that aside from the color calibration issues from model to model, once you've got your random panel calibrated properly, they all perform the same. Everything is so much better calibrated now! On boot, I see the profile load and the monitor gamma corrects. Other applications that are not color managed will not use the profile and are not affected.
