The monitor works with the laptop, but it has always been glitchy, flickering or turning off on occasion. It was definitely doing it more before all the updates so I have a feeling it is software. Neither update is considered critical, but it considering the 'fixes & enhancements' for the XPS 15 you would probably be best served by running the upgrade.
